a place where you can be YOU

Our amazing team of staff and volunteers are committed to creating an environment to support families of children with special needs.

Mrs. Sori Eisen is the founder and director of The Clubhouse.  Bringing her experience at Lakewood’s premier Center for Special Children and her wealth of knowledge, Sori established The Clubhouse to fill a need in the Los Angeles community. Sori worked alongside Mrs. Chaya Ullmann to bring The Clubhouse from a onceaweek program to the full service operation it is today. Sori serves as executive program director, liaison and advocate for children with special needs and their families.

Mrs Sarah Manne is The Clubhouse’s program and volunteer coordinator and director of the Girls Program. As a longtime preschool Morah, Sarah brings her passion for socialemotional development and handson education to The Clubhouse. Her many years of experience in the classroom, as well as her warmth and constant good cheer, makes our children, volunteers and staff ready and able to tackle whatever comes their way.

Rabbi Dovi Block is the director and madrich of our Boys Program. As a beloved mechanech, Rabbi Block joined our team in an effort to address the needs of the young men with special needs in our community. He has galvanized a cadre of volunteers who devote hours of their time interacting with these young men , and empowers and guides them, creating leaders of our future.

Since our opening on September 13th 2020, we have provided respite to over 40 families, thus enabling parents to focus their attention on self care and/or the other children in the family while providing a safe, fulfilling and exciting time for the special children of our community.  It is incredible to see how far a little support and respite can go. We are now running programs six days a week I’m two locations and are looking forward to continuing to provide quality services and support to families who need it most. We look forward to connecting with and providing total and complete acceptance with our very special participants.
